Wold Top brews beer for local Haiti appeal

An East Yorkshire brewery is joining forces with a Scarborough charity to raise vital funds to help people in Haiti. Wold Top Brewery was approached by former employees Will Brown and Melanie?Coull who set up SASH (Sustainable Aid Supporting Haiti) with a team of volunteers to help people in the rural areas of Haiti who are still badly affected by the aftermath of the 12th January earthquake.? The brewery will help the charity by brewing special SASH Aid Ale and will donate 50p from the sale of each bottle to help fund the charity?s critical work in Haiti. Will explains...

An independent Wold Newton brewery will be spending the forthcoming Independence Day weekend spreading the word about its award-winning real ales throughout Yorkshire. As hordes of music fans enjoyed the annual Glastonbury festival last week, an enterprising family closer to home is planning its own event. Staxtonbury Family Music Festival takes place at Manor Farm, Staxton from Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th July and will showcase the finest local groups, singers and musicians including chart topping York band Morpheus Rising, Grand Urge, Bigme, Shamrockers, Blue Alibi, Bad Panda and Swagger. Festival Success for Yorkshire Coast microbrewery

A Wold Newton microbrewery and an East Yorkshire festival organiser are celebrating the sell out success of the second?Moonbeams Wold Top Folk Festival last weekend (9/10 July). A combination of headline acts, great weather good food and beer and a campsite with stunning views made for an enjoyable weekend that attracted over 500 people.
