Award-winning brewery raises money for historic locomotive trust

A Wold Newton brewery has raised ?320 for?The Sir Nigel Gresley Locomotive Preservation Trust Ltd. Award-winning Wold Top Brewery donated 10p from the sale of each bottle of its popular locomotive ale, A4 Amber, at events throughout 2008, including the popular Spring?LNER Steam Festival. Visitors to the festival were treated to an impressive line up of engines including the three working Gresley A4 Pacifics; Sir Nigel Gresley, Union of South Africa and Bittern and a newly restored North Eastern Railway?Q6 No 63395. Brewery supports Hull CAMRA festiva

An award winning Yorkshire coast brewery is supporting the 2009 Hull and East Riding Real Ale and Cider Festival next month. Wold Top Brewery?s Wold Top Bitter, Mars Magic, Voluptuous Vicky and A4 Amber will be amongst the 100 plus real ales, cider and bottled beers to be enjoyed by visitors to the three day festival. Wold Top Brewery?s double digit growth has meant that increased manpower is necessary at the Wold Newton micro-brewery. The appointment of Paul Bellinger as Business? Manager and Andy Reid as Assistant Brewer takes the brewery?s headcount up to six.
