Wold Top heads to Wakefield for popular rhubarb festival

An East Yorkshire micro brewery is taking a selection of its beers to the?Wakefield Food, Drink and Rhubarb Festival for the third year running.

Wold Newton based Wold Top Brewery will be offering visitors to the two day festival tasting samples of its award winning beers that include Wold Gold, Mars Magic, Wold Top Bitter and gluten free beer, Against the Grain.

Brewery owner Gill Mellor is pleased to be returning to the festival; ?It?s a great day out.? It?s very well organized with a great atmosphere and plenty to do for all the family.?

The festival, nominated for White Rose Award for Tourism Event of the Year, takes place in the Cathedral Precinct between 10am and 4pm on 26th and 27th February.? This year?s line up includes a cookery demonstration from Yorkshire Chef and star of ITV?s Taste the Nation,?Rosemary Shrager plus food demonstrations from top regional chefs?Tim Bilton and?Ashley McCarthy.? There will also be a host of other activities including tours of the famous rhubarb sheds, face painting, the rhubarb story wall and an outdoor market.

Wold Top Brewery will be one of 25 specialist food and drink producers who will be attending the festival under the?deliciouslyorkshire umbrella.??deliciouslyorkshire is the championing brand of the Regional Food Group that works to promote food and drink producers in Yorkshire and the Humber regions.
