A Yorkshire Coast brewery has been invited to play a part in the history of a popular Howardian Hills village by attending its monthly village market.

The Hovingham Village Market re-opened in October after an absence of 156 years to bring a wide range of local produce and crafts to the community that lent its support for a regular market selling locally sourced, seasonal food and drink and crafts.

Wold Top Brewery was one of a number of popular Yorkshire businesses that was invited to participate in the market and will be sampling and selling its award-winning range of real ales, including the gluten free beer, Against the Grain.

The brewery?s Gill Mellor is delighted to have been invited to the market; ?The Hovingham Market Action Group has worked hard to restore this village market and we?re looking forward to being a part of it for the first time on 12th December.?

The market takes place in Hovingham village hall and car park and is open between 10.30 and and 3pm.? Local community groups will also be serving refreshments in the Market Caf?.
