Wold Top Brewery entertains at anniversary show

Award-winning Wold Top Brewery will be one of a number of local producers at the 150th anniversary of the Great Yorkshire Show this month. The North?s leading agricultural event takes place at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate from 8th to 10th July and attracts over 135,000 visitors . As part of the celebrations, the Regional Food Group for Yorkshire and Humber will be showcasing the best of the regions producers and will be staging regular daily inspirational cookery demonstrations and tutorials hosted by TV cook Annie Stirk. Members of the Great Northern Section of the Institute of Brewing and Distilling (IBD) have been invited to a Barley Walk, Brewery Visit and Barbecue at Wold Top Brewery. The 3rd July meeting will begin with a barley walk and talk led by Tom Mellor followed by tours of the award winning micro brewery.? The evening will conclude with a barbecue featuring local produce including meat supplied by East Yorkshire producer Burdass Lamb. Award-winning Wold Top Brewery is ensuring that visitors to this year?s 25th anniversary Beverley Folk Festival (20-22nd June) will be suitably refreshed by brewing a special Festival Ale. Award-winning Wold Top Brewery is bottling a special Spa Ale to celebrate the reopening of Bridlington Spa. The newly refurbished Spa opens on 31st May with a concert from top Yorkshire-based Indie band The Pigeon Detectives following a multi-million pound redevelopment programme.?
