Tickets are now on sale for the third Big Sky Beer Festival that takes place next month. On 5th and 6th October, we look forward to welcoming visitors to Hunmanby Grange for the real ale, cider and music event that is organised by Muddy Souls Events.   The 18 guest beers have been specially chosen by members of the brewery team and include drinks from all over the UK. In addition, Kilham cider maker, Colemans, will be sourcing a selection of ciders for us to enjoy. Big Sky Bitter is a tawny coloured ale with a clean hoppy finish that is inspired by the amazing sky-scapes over the gently rolling countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds and coast, often called 'Big Sky Country'. Here at the brewery, we are celebrating after two of our beers won stars at the Guild of Fine Food’s Great Taste Awards. Our Marmalade Porter has added a prestigious two star award to the host of commendations that it has received this year, including success in the World Gluten Free Beer Awards and a bronze award in the SIBA (Society of Independent Brewers) regional Independent Keg Beer Awards. Golden Summer is our beer of the month for August. Available in cask and bottles, it is a heady mix of Wold grown barley that is malted just down the road in Bridlington, wheat and Cara malt. It is hopped with Goldings and Styrian hops that give the beer its soft, fruity flavour with just a hint of spice. This is the beer to drink whilst basking in the sun on bank holidays or any days!
