Our Events Co-ordinator Susie's other half, Jamie Thickett is a head chef who learnt his trade in Scarborough, then spent 10 years working in a variety of restaurants, gastropubs and hotels in London. Thankfully for us, he and Susie relocated back to Yorkshire a couple of years ago and Jamie has created this special Valentine's supper dish using Shepherd's Watch beer. As part of the January newsletter, Kate and Alex pulled together a few quirky facts for you... In 2020 we Brewed an estimated 1.4 million pints worth of beer (interestingly this is still less than 1% of the total UK annual production). Used 3000 kg of hops and 325 tonnes of malt Packaged 1.8 million bottles through our sister packaging company of both Wold Top and other breweries’ beer. We won three awards at the European Beer Challenge

The brewery team are celebrating after winning three awards at the European Beer Challenge. Our first lager, Landmark Lager and gluten free favourites Scarborough Fair IPA and Marmalade Porter all won gold awards at the annual European competition that is dubbed ‘the Oscars of the beer world’. Landmark Lager won its award in the International Pilsner category; Scarborough Fair in the English IPA category and Marmalade Porter in the Robust Porter category. Wow, 2020. What a year you’ve been. After a promising start where we announced our Viking seasonal cask range, launched our first barrel aged beer, Swell, and were starting to look for another sales person when everything went a bit pear shaped! Introducing cask conditioned beers for you to enjoy at home

We're pleased to introduce our new range of cask conditioned beers for people to enjoy at home during lockdown. The beers, including gluten free options and a monthly seasonal special beer that is normally reserved for pubs, are now available in 5 litre/8.7 pint mini casks.
