We've brewed a bespoke beer for the Pipe and Glass

Our fabulous brew team have developed a bespoke ale for East Yorkshire’s first and only Michelin starred pub.

We were delighted when James and Kate Mackenzie from the Pipe and Glass asked us to work with them to create a house ale.

The result is ‘InnSpire’: an intriguing IPA with notes of citrus and floral aromas that give way to a gentle bitterness.

We love creating bespoke beer for clients and this project was particularly enjoyable as James and Kate are so passionate about provenance.

Taking inspiration for its name from the magnificent landmark of the 200ft spire of St Mary’s Church in South Dalton, InnSpire will be available for customers to enjoy at the Pipe and Glass when the pub reopens for al fresco dining on Thursday 22nd April.

“Having served Wold Top at the Pipe and Glass over the past 15 years, we knew the quality of their beers and their team immediately understood what we were hoping to create - a proper Yorkshire beer. And I’m thrilled to be able to say that InnSpire is brewed using malts grown on the Yorkshire Wolds that surround us,” said James.

“We’ve created this beer with our customers in mind. It’s the perfect, refreshing pint to enjoy sitting at our picnic benches on a sunny day, but it also works fantastically alongside a Michelin-starred meal in the restaurant.”

Cheers!
