This year, we’re very excited to be trialling a new variety of winter barley that has been bred by a leading agriculture company, Syngenta, specifically for brewing (Wold Top) and whisky-making (Spirit of Yorkshire). Although not yet available commercially, the winter barley variety 'SY Vessel' is being trialled by founder Tom at Hunmanby Grange (our farm) and the journey of...

Martin McPheat from organiser, Bridlington Road Runners said: “We’re incredibly grateful to have Wold Top’s support for another year. We were disappointed to have to cancel last year’s race, so are really looking forward to this event. “‘Brid Half’, as it is affectionately known, was first held in 1983 and still attracts a large field of 700 runners from far and wide. This year’s field includes...

We've brewed four beers for Tong Garden Centre

Of the collaboration, Tong’s MD, Mark Farnsworth said: “Wold Top’s range has always been popular in our Food Hall, so this thriving brewery was our first choice when it came to launching a range of Hearty’s craft ales.” Our director, Kate Balchin said: “We're proud that the team at Tong chose us out of all the breweries in Yorkshire to brew the beer for Hearty's. The Hearty’s branded beers sit...
