A Yorkshire coast brewery is supporting the inaugural 'Books by the Beach' festival with a bespoke beer. Hunmanby based Wold Top Brewery has produced a limited edition beer, Best Seller, to mark the new Scarborough Book Festival that takes place between 24th and 27th April. The stellar literary line-up includes Kate Adie, Joanne Harris, Sally Magnusson, Greta Scacchi, James Naughtie and Joanne Trollope. A Yorkshire Wolds micro brewery that straddles the border of East and North Yorkshire is celebrating after being shortlisted for a prestigious tourism award. Hunmanby based Wold Top Brewery has been shortlisted in the Remarkable Fayre category of the REYTAs (Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards) and faces stiff competition from other Yorkshire producers including the Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School, the Side Oven Bakery and Staal Smokehouse Ltd. The recent beer and cheese event at the Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School was a great success once again. The recipes reflected the change in season and the beers also included our winter seasonal, Shepherd's Watch abv 6%. This delicious dark beer was used as an ingredient in two recipes and as the beer match to the Brownies with Fine Fettle frosting.
