Something for everyone at NGS Festival Weekend and Brewery Opening

The popular 'Yellow Book' garden, Hunmanby Grange is participating in the NGS (National Garden Scheme) Festival Weekend on 7th and 8th of June. The opening of the Yorkshire coast garden coincides with the annual open weekend for the award winning micro-brewery Wold Top Brewery that is based at the eponymous farm. Hunmanby Grange is one of only four gardens throughout Yorkshire where families are invited to celebrate a Teddy Bear's Picnic. Garden owner, Gill Mellor said: "It should be great fun. Wold Top Brewery's Falklands order

The first delivery of Yorkshire beer has reached its destination in the Falkland Islands. A consignment of over 100 cases of assorted Wold Top Brewery beers took six weeks to make the 8,000 mile voyage from the Wold Newton brewery to Seafish Chandlery in Stanley, the Falklands. The order is being distributed via Yorkshire based export specialist Turner Price Export and is eagerly awaited by the island's growing and diverse community that includes people from over 60 nations. Yorkshire coast brewery creates employment

Growing demand for a Yorkshire coast's award winning beers has created a new job. Wold Newton microbrewery, Wold Top Brewery has recruited Tom Cooper primarily to help with the running of the bottling line, but as with all the members of the close knit team of 15, he will also be involved in other areas of the business. Tom Cooper, 34, may be more familiar to festival goers as the husband of Leila Cooper, who organises the annual Moonbeams Wold Top Folk Festival.
