A Yorkshire Wolds micro brewery that straddles the border of East and North Yorkshire is celebrating after being shortlisted for a prestigious tourism award.
Hunmanby based Wold Top Brewery has been shortlisted in the Remarkable Fayre category of the REYTAs (Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards) and faces stiff competition from other Yorkshire producers including the Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School, the Side Oven Bakery and Staal Smokehouse Ltd. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at Bridlington Spa on March 13th.
Of the shortlist, brewery owner Gill Mellor said: "We're very proud to have been shortlisted for this award for the second time in as many years."
The REYTAs honour the brightest and best in this region's tourism industry and celebrate the enormous achievements of businesses across Hull and East Yorkshire. Tourism is a vital part of this area's economy, contributing over £615million annually. The REYTAs help to support the industry by raising awareness of the superb quality we have to offer visitors.
The REYTAs have been generously supported by some of Hull and East Yorkshire's leading organisations, who have committed to be major sponsors of the awards, including: The Deep, Classlane Media, St Stephen's, Wykeland, Strawberry, Mail News & Media, Allied Advertising Agency, Catalink, Webmart and EYMS Group.
