Angler's Reward reaps its own reward!

Angler's Reward has just won the drinks section in the Yorkshire Post Taste Awards. We were really pleased as this beer has had nothing but praise since it first was brewed in the spring. We are now looking at making it a permanent beer in cask and also in bottle. It's 4% abv just seems to fit exactly into our pub customers profiles and it's taste to their customers wishes. Hunmanby brewery supports Jazz Festival with bespoke beer

Award-winning Wold Top Brewery will be providing a special North Yorkshire ale to celebrate the ninth Scarborough Jazz Festival (23rd - 25th September). This year's Festival Ale is a tawny coloured ale with a malty bitterness and a clean hoppy finish. It has an ABV of 3.9% and will be on sale at the Scarborough Spa and at several of the pubs and hotels throughout the town throughout the festival period. Yorkshire brewery enlists help to win national competition

As the final plans are being made for British Food Fortnight (17th September to 2nd October), an East Yorkshire micro-brewery is appealing for people to support its bid to win a national competition. Wold Newton based Wold Top Brewery is the only Yorkshire brewery to have reached the finals of Sainsburys Great British Beer Hunt with its Golden Summer real ale and will be rewarded with a listing in all Sainsburys stores from 7th to 28th September. Brewery supports Scarborough Cricket Festival for second year

Hunmanby micro brewery Wold Top Brewery is lending its support to the popular Scarborough Cricket Festival that starts next week (15th August). The Welcome to Yorkshire Scarborough Cricket Festival gets underway on with a President's XI taking on a David Byas XI which will include various players who appeared in the Championship winning side of 2001. The President's XI will include England Ladies stars Danielle Wyatt and Arran Brindle and Yorkshire's young-guns Adam Lyth and Gary Ballance.
