Staff at an East Yorkshire micro brewery are celebrating after winning Best Green Business at the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) Business Awards (13th-15th March). Glasses are being raised today at Wold Top Brewery in East Yorkshire following the brewery's recent triumph in the annual Business Awards held by the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA). A Yorkshire coast micro brewery has launched a new beer format in response to customer demand. Wold Newton based Wold Top Brewery has launched Humber Light, its first brewery conditioned beer, specifically for customers like Hull Truck Theatre who have no cellar facilities, but want to serve great tasting beer on draught. Inspired by Hull's maritime heritage, Humber Light (4.5% ABV) is a premium light, yet full flavoured beer that is brewed using lager malt and has a refreshing citrus character. An East Yorkshire micro brewery renowned for supporting the arts has renewed its sponsorship of a leading regional theatre. Wold Newton based Wold Top Brewery is a second year sponsor of Hull Truck's monthly A Play, a Pie and a Pint events and as such, brews a special Hull Truck Ale, Humber Light for guests to enjoy with the play and the pie.
