Wold Top Jobs

Job Opportunity: Warehousing & Delivery

Start Date: Immediate/March 2026

Who are we

We are Wold Top Brewery. A small, family run, independent brewery based on the Yorkshire Coast. Founded in 2003 out of the need for farm diversification, we grow our own Barley, have our own water supply and produce our own electricity to make great tasting beers! We ship out lots of lovely beer every day, in our own vans, via couriers and with larger scale hauliers. Due to retirement, we’re looking for someone to assist with our warehousing logistics and also assist with our local deliveries.

The job in a nutshell

To work alongside our team to ensure the beer gets to the right place at the right time! From packing up internet orders to loading lorries you will be an essential player in the team, making sure the beer leaving the brewery is 100% right. You need a good level of fitness - you’ll be on your feet all day, and capable of lifting, handling and moving too. Manual handling training will be given. Forklift driving required so prior experience of this would be very useful! There will also be one, maybe two days of local delivery driving work, in our branded vans - this is very much dependent on the time of year and busy periods.

Typical Activities/Responsibilities

  • A key team member: you’ll be one of a tight knit, close run team and will need to be polite, helpful, take instruction and be able to handle any situation calmly.
  • Cleanliness & General Housekeeping: You’ll need to keep the warehouse tidy so that stock control can be maintained easily and quickly. Clean workstations and vehicles too.
  • Teamwork: You will learn a variety of skills and techniques to allow you to cover and help out with other areas of the business where needed. You will also need to allow others to learn from you so that they can help you if you need it!
  • Stock management: you’ll liaise with Sales, Production managers and Directors to ensure that adequate stock levels are maintained.
  • Hands on: when necessary, you’ll help out with Brewery events such as our annual Beer Festival. Driving: You’ll take out local deliveries, one or two times a week to help ease the load pressure on the other drivers. Especially during the busy summer months and in the run up to the festive season. This may not always be necessary in quieter times.

Your Skills and Attitude

  • Approachable and positive, to customers and the team.
  • Organised and efficient, able to manage your time effectively.
  • Able to ask for help if needed. There’s no point getting it wrong - just ask!
  • Practical and logical, you’re good at looking at a challenge, keeping a cool head and finding a solution. ● Great attention to detail.
  • Belief that “if it’s going to happen, it’s down to me.”
  • A passion for beer and Wold Top – understanding our ethos, what we stand for, and to represent and promote that to others.
  • Local geographical knowledge would be useful but is not essential.
  • Driving Licence is required as there is no public transport to the Brewery site.
