Wold Top was founded by farmers Tom and Gill, who were looking at different ways to sustain the family farm with diversification and hit on brewing as their solution!
Tom is now retired and Gill passed away in 2020.
In 2010 they were joined by eldest daughter Kate and her husband Alex and they have since taken over the day to day running and business development of the Brewery.
The Brewery has gone from strength to strength and we couldn’t have done this without our team of talented brewers, quality focused bottlers and passionate sales and delivery folk.
Our brewers make sure our beers are brewed to perfection, while also ensuring that the casks that go out to pubs and bars are in top condition.

Taking beer destined for packaging and by conditioning, filtering and testing it, make sure every bottle that leaves our site is perfect. All our beer is packaged by us which means we always control every aspect of its quality.

Whether they’re out and about delivering to our local customers and bars and restaurants, or keeping the warehouse moving our local service team are key.

Then, behind the scenes we have the office team who keep us running on a day to day basis with sales, order processing, dispatch and accounts. There’s also the events team who plan and run all of our fabulous brewery events.

We’re more than just a brewery - situated on our 600 acre family farm we also employ a team of farm and garden workers to keep everything running smoothly.
