A Yorkshire micro brewery is urging people to dig deep this Christmas to support a Scarborough based charity. Wold Top Brewery responded to an appeal by former employees Will Brown and Melanie Coull to raise vital funds for?SASH (Sustainable Aid Supporting Haiti) by brewing a limited edition beer. Will and Melanie set up SASH with a team of volunteers to help people in the rural areas of Haiti who are still badly affected by the aftermath of the 12th January earthquake and the more recent Hurricane Tomas.? A Yorkshire Coast brewery has been invited to play a part in the history of a popular Howardian Hills village by attending its monthly village market. The Hovingham Village Market re-opened in October after an absence of 156 years to bring a wide range of local produce and crafts to the community that lent its support for a regular market selling locally sourced, seasonal food and drink and crafts. The Marine Bar in Bridlington has invited Tony O?Rourke-Kilburn, head brewer from Wold Top Brewery to talk about the Hunmanby brewery?s award-winning beer followed by a presentation to celebrate the brewery raising over ?10,000 for the?Candlelighters charity that supports children with life limiting illnesses. A Wold Newton brewery is celebrating after recording its best Christmas sales ever despite the inclement weather.
