Wolds brewery celebrates Remarkable shortlist

A Yorkshire Wolds micro brewery that straddles the border of East and North Yorkshire is celebrating after being shortlisted for a prestigious tourism award. Hunmanby based Wold Top Brewery has been shortlisted in the Remarkable Fayre category of the REYTAs (Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards) and faces stiff competition from other Yorkshire producers including the Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School, the Side Oven Bakery and Staal Smokehouse Ltd. Another successful evening at the Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School

The recent beer and cheese event at the Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School was a great success once again. The recipes reflected the change in season and the beers also included our winter seasonal, Shepherd's Watch abv 6%. This delicious dark beer was used as an ingredient in two recipes and as the beer match to the Brownies with Fine Fettle frosting. Yorkshire businesses contribute to Great British Wind Meal with Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall

Yorkshire coast microbrewery Wold Top Brewery was one of three Yorkshire businesses that was invited to participate in the Great British Wind Meal at River Cottage Canteen recently. To celebrate the wind industry's role in sustaining Britain's farming communities, RenewableUK worked with energyshare and food campaigner and broadcaster Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall to host a roundtable discussion and meal where the ingredients were donated by farms and suppliers powered by wind energy. Three in a row for green brewery

Staff at a Yorkshire coast microbrewery are celebrating after winning their third major environmental award in their 10th anniversary year. Wold Top Brewery beat stiff competition from St. Stephen's shopping centre to be awarded 'Best Green Business' in the Hull Daily Mail business awards on 21st November. The award was received by Alex and Kate Balchin during a glittering ceremony at the Willerby Manor Hotel that was attended by over 300 guests representing businesses from Hull and East Yorkshire.
