Innovative innkeeper launches the ultimate disloyalty card

A forward thinking Holderness publican has launched a Disloyalty Ale Trail aimed at visitors to the East Yorkshire coast. Ray Thompson has owned the Wrygarth Inn at Great Hatfield since 2008 and was inspired to launch the initiative in support of village pubs after a caravanner was re-routed by his Sat-Nav. Ray explained: "More village pubs have closed in the last decade than at any other time in recent history. The Wrygarth is located in a very rural and remote area. At two of the National Gardens Scheme's gardens that uniquely share their home with a brewery, plants and beer go hand in hand as the brewery gardens form as much of an attraction as the brewery itself. An award winning East Yorkshire microbrewery has just shipped its third order of beer to Finland. Wold Newton business, Wold Top Brewery, has reported unprecedented export growth over the last 12 months, with business coming from countries including Italy, Canada and the Falkland Islands.
