We have teamed up with our sister company, Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery to produce Yorkshire’s first barrel-aged beer. Swell is a limited edition dark beer that has been matured for 11 months in casks that held spirit at Yorkshire’s first single malt whisky distillery. Swell has been brewed specifically for barrel-aging, the recipe developed to hold the flavours from the casks without being overwhelmed. The team here at Hunmanby Grange are celebrating after winning three awards in an industry wide beer competition. Scarborough Fair IPA and Headland Red won gold awards at the SIBA (Society of Independent Brewers) North East Regional Keg awards last week, with Headland Red going on to be awarded bronze in the national SIBA Independent Beer Awards 2020 at BeerX UK in Liverpool.
