We're looking forward to hosting a quiz on 30th May in aid of St. Catherine’s Hospice, our charity of the year. Events coordinator, Sam Smith explained the rationale for the event: “We love a quiz night here at Wold Top, and we also love supporting great local charities that are close to our heart, so we’re combining the two with a charity quiz night. “The team at St. Catherine’s Hospice does amazing work supporting people with cancer and other long-term illnesses across the Yorkshire Coast. MD Kate has been invited onto the panel at a sustainable farming event

We're pleased to share the news that our MD Kate has been invited to contribute to a panel session at a sustainable farming event next month. Kate will join the Food Production panel at the Farmers Weekly Transition Live event at the University of Leeds Farm on 8th May. The event aims to help farmers secure sustainable futures for their farms and brings together farmers, policymakers and key industry experts for a day of knowledge-exchange, collaboration and networking. Here at Hunmanby Grange Farm, the home of Wold Top, we are currently under way with one of the most important parts of our farming year – spring drilling.  There are two types of crop plantings available to farmers: winter and spring. Winter barley and winter wheat varieties are sown shortly after harvest, late September through October, whilst spring barley and spring wheat are sown as the weather turns warmer and more ‘springlike’. Indie Beer Week is a new UK-wide beer week that has been launched by independent beer campaigners to celebrate and promote independent beer, pubs and people with a series of events nationwide.
