Teams from Wold Top Brewery, Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil, Charlie & Ivy’s and Honest Bean Co. recently put our best foot forward for a 31-mile sponsored walk across the Yorkshire Wolds from Thixendale to Hunmanby Grange.
Our team of six (Alex walked all 31 miles and the rest walked between eight and 23 miles) was raising money for St. Catherine’s Hospice and we were delighted to smash our fundraising target of £500 with a total of £845. The Breckenholme team was raising money for HOPING York Street Kitchen and also smashed their target, raising £4157.
Brewery director Alex said: “St. Catherine’s is a charity very close to our heart at Wold Top as they helped to care for our co-founder Gill at home in her last few months battling cancer. There was great camaraderie en route and we all enjoyed the food and beer at the end. We were delighted to exceed our fundraising target of £500 and have raised £845 to date, with some monies still to come in. Thanks to the team at Breckenholme for organising it: it was a great success.”
