As the nights draw in and the temperature drops, try this warming Beef in Beer with Headland Red – it's a Mellor family favourite. Serves 4 Ingredients 450g (1lb) stewing steak (the best quality you can find) 2 parsnips, chopped 2 carrots, chopped 1 onion, halved 2 cloves garlic, chopped 1 sweet potato (peeled and chopped) 2 tbsp Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil 3 - 4 bay leaves Pinch of salt & pepper 25g (1oz) flour (to coat the beef) 500ml bottle of Headland Red Method 1. Over the next three months, we will be launching the next three beers in our limited edition cask beer series. This month's beer is Aries Rising, a well hopped beer with a big flavour. A subtle malt base helps balance the taste and let the hops sing through to deliver a very quaffable beer! With Progress, Jester and Bramling Cross hops and Pale Ale and Maize malts. We're pleased to report that a limited number of casks of Aries Rising (4.4% ABV), the fourth beer in our Constellation series, are ready for release to East and North Yorkshire pubs. The Big Sky Beer Festival returns for a third year

Tickets are now on sale for the third Big Sky Beer Festival that takes place next month. On 5th and 6th October, we look forward to welcoming visitors to Hunmanby Grange for the real ale, cider and music event that is organised by Muddy Souls Events. The 18 guest beers have been specially chosen by members of the brewery team and include drinks from all over the UK. In addition, Kilham cider maker, Colemans, will be sourcing a selection of ciders for us to enjoy.
