Directors' Diary - A year of beer and sport

Hello and Happy New Year!
We hope you’ve had a lovely Christmas and festive season and are looking forward to a great 2026!
Here at Wold Top HQ we’ve got lots planned for the year ahead. Tours, beer festival, Oktoberfest, SunDown 60, Trail run, Walks, Theatre and more. Make sure you keep an eye on these newsletters and our socials for up to date info.
Beer wise we’ve got a great year lined up too. As well as all our usual Wold Top stalwarts we’re introducing a new Session IPA (watch this space) and we’ve planned a cracking line up of monthly specials too. This year celebrating sport in all its forms as 2026 is bringing us a mega year of sporting events.
January is kicking off with ‘The Dip’, a lovely, fresh, pale ale at 3.8%, celebrating outdoor/wild swimming in all its (chilly) glory!
February brings ‘Bluebird Day’, which, for those non-ski/snowboard enthusiasts among you, is a term used to describe a perfect day in the mountains. Blue skies, sun, great powder/condition and good company! It’s a golden pale ale with notes of honey and spice - just the drop to enjoy whilst watching the 2026 Winter Olympics.

March will celebrate rugby and the Six Nations while April brings us golf and the Masters.
May is cycling and our Sundown 60 while June kicks off the football World Cup.
In July we go courtside with tennis and August sees us at the wicket with cricket.
September, October and November celebrate those hardy surfers, trail runners and hikers who frequent our wolds, moors, dales and seas and in December you can put your feet up for a well deserved rest!

More info on the beer types as we go, but here’s to a well refreshed 2026!

Cheers

Kate and Alex
