Directors' Diary - Events Roundup

Directors Diary Events Roundup

We kicked off with the fabulous Shane and his Singo on the 15th May and haven’t stopped since…..

The Sundown 60 cycle ride was a great success, with beautiful weather for the cyclists and delicious fish and chips from Stuarts as usual. This was our 10th Sundown 60 and we’re already planning number 11!

The Big Sky Beer Festival was a sellout again this year, and even though it was probably the coldest weekend of the summer, a great time was had by all!

A very impressive 2,790 pints were (responsibly!) consumed over the weekend which was fabulous too.

We were really impressed with the fancy dress this year and are planning to make this a bigger thing at next year's festival. Watch this space!

We went straight from the beer festival into hosting the Members Bar at Driffield Show, which was a completely new venture for us but one which we hope will be repeated next year. It was such a lovely atmosphere and Sam and the team had a great day.

A Midsummer Night's Dream by the 440 theatre group was a fabulously raucous and entertaining evening - not sure Shakespeare meant it to be quite that off the wall, but it was definitely well received!

The 440 guys are off to Edinburgh Fringe next summer, so we don’t know when they will be able to be back here, but hopefully not too long before we see them again.

The guided walk and trail run events were also great fun. It’s so lovely to be able to get people together to enjoy the wonderful countryside we have around us.

Oktoberfest this past weekend has really finished off the summer nicely and we’re always so impressed with the effort that goes into the outfits for this event!

We’re now looking forward to a Halloween themed Singo on the 30th October and then a bit of a rest!

Cheers
