We are very proud of our export achievements to date and only hope to further them as we grow over the next few years. Last month, we hosted a visit from our Italian importer, Cuzziol Beverage, who, alongside three agents, brought over a group of 14 wholesalers and retailers from all over Italy. They toured the farm, saw the barley growing on site, tasted new beers and also popped down to the Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery for a tour there. The teams at the brewery and the distillery are celebrating after being announced as finalists in the 20th annual Farmers Weekly awards.  Together with Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery, we have reached the final of the Diversification of the Year award alongside two other Yorkshire businesses. Teams from Wold Top Brewery, Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil, Charlie & Ivy’s and Honest Bean Co. recently put our best foot forward for a 31-mile sponsored walk across the Yorkshire Wolds from Thixendale to Hunmanby Grange.  Our team of six (Alex walked all 31 miles and the rest walked between eight and 23 miles) was raising money for St. Catherine’s Hospice and we were delighted to smash our fundraising target of £500 with a total of £845. Wow, where did the first five months of the year go?! It’s been a busy few months, to say the least, but we’re still full of energy and ready for a busy summer - let’s just hope the sunshine arrives! We started the year with the return of Falling Stone which was welcomed back with open arms and enjoyed by everyone. Both the casks and bottles sold out super quickly which was fantastic.
