Wold Top Brewery?s ?special? win at Bridlington and Wolds Business Awards 2010

Gill and Tom Mellor from Wold Top BreweryAn East Yorkshire micro brewery is celebrating after winning the award for the?Business that has done something special for Bridlington and the Wolds at the Bridlington and Wolds Business Awards 2010.

Wold Top Brewery directors Tom and Gill Mellor were delighted to receive the award at a glittering ceremony at Bridlington Spa on 19th November.

In its nomination, the brewery highlighted the second successful Moonbeams Wold Top Folk Music Festival weekend that attracted headline act Ade Edmondson and the Bad Shepherds and over 500 people to Bridlington and Filey together with the annual brewery and garden open day that brought many visitors and raised vital funds for St. Cuthbert?s church in nearby Burton Fleming.? The nomination resulted in a place on the shortlist and a visit from the team of independent judges who interviewed brewery team members and had a tour of the brewery.

Organised by?Hull and Humber Chamber of Commerce, the annual awards showcase the best of East Yorkshire?s businesses in categories including Best International Business, Best Small Business and Best Social Enterprise.
