Brewery supports inaugural college farmers? market

Award-winning Wold Top Brewery will be one of a number of North Yorkshire businesses to participate in Scarborough?s first ever farmers? market.

The new market will be held at Scarborough College on Filey Road between 10am and1pm on Sunday 23rd?November.

Although time has prevented Wold Newton?s Wold Top Brewery being granted a licence to sell beer at this first market, the brewery was determined to support the local initiative and will be on hand to talk about and sample the brewery?s award winning real ales, including the winner of the recentDeliciouslyorkshire award, Wold Top Bitter and its ever popular Christmas ales and gift packs.

The brewery?s Sales Office Manager, Vicky Skinn, will be running the market and is delighted that such a professional market has been launched on the brewery?s doorstep.? ?This is great for local producers like us - we?re only 12 miles away from the college and it?s a great opportunity to talk to the local customers who have been instrumental for our our success over the last six years. ?

Scarborough College Farmers? Market has been established to enable local producers to sell home produced goods direct to the consumer, thus reducing food miles and facilitating a dialogue that connects consumers with the farming community that surrounds and serves them.?
