Wold Top Brewery raises money for historic locomotive trust

Wold Top Brewery is working with the North York Moors Railway?to raise funds for The Sir Nigel Gresley Locomotive Preservation?Trust Ltd.
The award-winning brewery will be donating 10p from the sale?of each bottle of its popular locomotive ale, A4 Amber, during the?forthcoming LNER Steam Festival and for the rest of 2008.
The Spring LNER festival takes place on consecutive weekends?(28 to 30 March and 4 to 6 April) and it is expected that at least?seven engines from the former London & North Eastern Railway?(LNER) will be in operation.
The festival has been designed to pay tribute to the men and?machines of the LNER.
Philip Benham, NYMR General Manager, says ?Many people were?disappointed when last year?s LNER Festival could not take place as?planned. This is the third time we have aimed to get three working A4s together. With all the locomotives now back in service, and arrangements confirmed with the owners, we are confident that it will finally happen! The presence of Green Arrow working our LNER train, and the other NER?s locos should make this one of the most spectacular events of 2008.?
