The inaugural Moonbeams Wold Top Folk Festival has been voted a runaway success.

Last weekend, Wold Top Brewery welcomed over 300 people to its Hunmanby Grange home for a weekend of music, entertainment and Yorkshire food and drink.

Guests, including families who took advantage of the clement weather to camp overnight, were entertained by artists including Driffield singer songwriter Edwina Hayes, York guitarist Andy Stones, The Duncan McFarlane Band, Paul Liddell, Nick Hall,?Kat Gilmore and Jamie Roberts to name but a few.? In between sets, entertainment was provided by Theatre on the Wolds and Ronald Davies.

Organiser Leila Slater from Driffield was delighted with the event;? ?It was a fantastic event - great acts, amazing location, good weather and fabulous food and drink made for a very successful festival - we?ve already set a date for next year - 10th -11th July 2010!?

The Moonbeams Festival followed hot on the heels of the Staxtonbury Festival, which was also supported by the award-winning Wold Newton micro-brewery.
