An award winning local brewery is to lend its support to a prestigious music event by setting up a special Spa bar.
Wold Top Brewery is getting musical next month as it brings its finest cask and bottled ales to the UK?s biggest indoor music festival, Musicport, at Bridlington Spa from 17th to 19th October.
The Wold Newton brewery will be setting up a hand-pull bar for the first time in the Spa?s history and music lovers from around the globe will be able to try a special guest ale for the event.? Called ?Musicporter?, it is a premium ale with a malty flavour and an ABV of 4.6%. ?As well as the guest beer, the flagship Wold Top Bitter will be available on draft, and there will be a well stocked bar with the complete range of Wold Top Brewery bottled beers.
Musicians performing at the event include The Levellers, the legendary Rolf Harris, Latin- flavoured party band Ska Cubano, Ivo Papasov & his Wedding Band and African Harpist Toumani Diabate. Comedian, Mitch Benn and The Warsaw Village Band will also be there.
Brewery owner Gill Mellor said: ?This will be a fantastic event, it?s all indoors so the weather won?t be a problem! People will be able to relax, listen to the music they want to hear with some local real ales on offer, what more could a festival-goer ask for??
?It?s been great to support the festival in the past and we look forward to working with them this year in the new location at Bridlington Spa.?
Musicport 2008 will run from Friday October 17, to Sunday October 19, at Bridlington Spa, South Marine Drive, Bridlington. Ticket prices range from ?14 for one night to ?90 for the whole weekend. Please visitwww.musicportfestival.com for more information and to book.
