Give a taste of Hockney country this Christmas
Posted by Wold Top Brewery on
It's been quite a year for the Yorkshire Wolds. Catapulted into the visitor limelight by the sell out Hockney exhibition at London's Royal Academy, soon people were clamouring for a piece of Yorkshire to commemorate the occasion.
Yorkshire Wolds microbrewery Wold Top Brewery was invited to supply the RA Restaurant at the Piccadilly venue for the duration of the Main Galleries exhibition David Hockney RA: A Bigger Picture due to the brewery's base in the Yorkshire Wolds and its proximity to the celebrated artist's home in Bridlington.
Now available in a new Christmas gift pack, Wold Top Brewery's award winning beers reflect the big skies and the rolling landscapes that have inspired much of Hockney's recent work in East Yorkshire and is the Wolds grown barley and chalk filtered water from the brewery's own borehole that give the microbrewery's range of beers an individual flavour that is unique to the Yorkshire Wolds but enjoyed by all.
The gift pack comprises four, 500 ml bottles of the brewery's best selling beers and includes;
- Wold Top Bitter, 3.7% ABV - light amber coloured, crisp clean aromatic session bitter
- Angler's Reward, 4.0% ABV - golden pale ale with a fruity bitterness & lingering aftertaste
- Headland Red, 4.3% - red beer with a mellow, malty flavour
- Wold Gold, 4.8% - blonde continental style beer with a soft, fruity flavour and a hint of spice
It is available from the website (online price is £10.85 excl P&P) and at selected outlets nationwide. Please contact the brewery on 01723 892222 for stockist information.
