Manor Farm Beef and Wold Top Brewery have been invited to participate in a unique event to showcase Yorkshire's finest artisan producers.

'Taste the Wolds' takes place at the Robert Fuller Gallery in Thixendale between 10am and 4.30pm on 13th July and follows on from the successful Taste the Wolds evening event last year.

Manor Farm Beef will be showcasing its new garlic biltong whilst Wold Top Brewery will be unveiling its new Mallard and Hello Velo beers for train and cycling enthusiasts respectively and there will be a paid bar serving Wold Top Brewery ales.

The two family owned farm based businesses will be joined by a host of local companies including Fieldhouse Flowers, Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil, Ryedale Vineyards, Staal Smokehouse and Epicure's Larder.

Manor Farm Beef rears pedigree Belted Galloway, British Blue and Limousin cattle that are specially bred and fed to produce the best possible taste and texture. The are all born at Manor Farm and spend all of their lives grazing lush pastures before going for slaughter at 30 months (as opposed to the industry standard of 16 months). The beef is then sold through selected restaurants, Manor Farm Yorkshire Beef Boxes and at Driffield and Hovingham farmers' markets.
