An award winning Yorkshire coast brewery is supporting the 2009 Hull and East Riding Real Ale and Cider Festival next month.

Wold Top Brewery?s Wold Top Bitter, Mars Magic, Voluptuous Vicky and A4 Amber will be amongst the 100 plus real ales, cider and bottled beers to be enjoyed by visitors to the three day festival.

Now in its ninth year, the festival, organised by the?Hull and East Riding Branch for the Campaign for Real Ale(CAMRA), will be held at Hull College?s Horncastle Buildng on George Street on 16th to 18th April.

Wold Top Bitter is the brewery?s flagship ale and is an easy drinking session beer with an ABV of 3.7%.? It is full of flavour with a long hoppy finish and beat two Black Sheep Brewery beers to take the?deliciouslyorkshire BestDrink 2008-9 title. Mars Magic is a 4.6% ABV premium ale with a ruby glow and malty flavour that was inspired by the 'Red Planet' which was clearly visible to the naked eye in the latter months of 2003.? Voluptuous Vicky is a limited edition beer that mixes Maris Otter, Dark Crystal and Chocolate malts with Progress and Northdown hops to create an interesting dark beer with hidden depths and an ABV of 4.4%. A4 Amber was brewed as a limited edition ale to celebrate the A4 Train festival on the North Yorks Moors Railway but its fruity taste and light, dry finish was so well received that this 4.4% ABV beer has now become a regular brew.

The Brewery?s owner, Tom Mellor, is delighted to be supporting the festival for the 5th year running ?CAMRA does a great job educating people about real ale and is very supportive of smaller, regional breweries like ours.? It has also devised a? LocAle initiative that encourages pubs to stock at least one locally-produced real ale with the aim of educating pub goers about which beers are brewed locally which will hopefully benefit the local economy?.
