Look out for the Wold Top riders at this year's Wolds 123 sportive that takes place at the KP Club in Pocklington on Sunday, July 1st.
The organisers, David Hought and Richard Baldwin, who also manage the Wold Top Actif Road Racing Team, have designed the route to pass some iconic points of interest in the area.
David said they were inspired by The KP Club in Pocklington, where the route begins, as a venue and for its scenic location. It has been the starting point for the sportive since the first event in 2014.
“There are some fantastic hill climbs and valleys such as Thixendale, and the ride passes through historic landmarks like Castle Howard.
“It’s great to have Wold Top Brewery on board, showing their continuing support for cycling, and helping us showcase the Yorkshire Wolds and all it has to offer – both in scenery and local produce.”
Registration takes place between 8am and 9am at the KP Club, where the ride will commence at 9.30am. Riders will be staggered to set off in small groups.
Entries are now open online at a cost of £35 and all riders under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult during the event.
