Thanks to everyone who bought our limited edition cask beer, Remember, we raised £700 for the North and East Yorkshire Poppy Appeal.
We donated £10 from the sale of each cask of our special edition light beer, Remember, 4.2% ABV, that was available in selected pubs throughout North and East Yorkshire.
Stewart Lythe, Community Fundraiser for the North and East Yorkshire Poppy Appeal, said: “We’d like to thank Wold Top Brewery for supporting and raising awareness of the Poppy Appeal.
“We hope to have raised a record amount during the 2016 Poppy Appeal so that we can continue to support all generations of the Armed Forces and their families and Wold Top’s generous contribution is very gratefully received.”
The Poppy Appeal is the Royal British Legion’s biggest fundraising campaign and is held annually in November. During this month, events are organised throughout the UK to remember the fallen servicemen and women killed in conflict.
Money raised from the appeal supports the work that the Royal British Legion does to help the Armed Forces community.
We look forward to working with Paul and Stewart again for this year's appeal ale.
