More Awards Success for Yorkshire Coast Brewery

Further to its recent success in the Great Taste Awards, an East Yorkshire micro brewery is celebrating after learning that it has been shortlisted for another prestigious award.

Wold Newton based Wold Top Brewery has beaten stiff competition to reach the final of the York Press Think Green Business of the Year award. One of only 39 businesses and individuals that were selected from hundreds of entries, the team at the micro brewery will now be visited by judges to decide the winners who will be announced at a glamorous black-tie event at York Racecourse on November 21st.

Commenting on the success, Brewery director Gill Mellor said; "We heard about the Great Taste award last week and the York Press one today - our green initiatives are already reaping rewards environmentally and economically so it's great that they're helping us to get shortlisted and win awards too!"

In March, Wold Top Brewery was also awarded the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) Best Green Business Award 2013 from SIBA's 650 members.
