We've reached the final of the regional FSB awards

Three generations of the Mellor family

We're delighted to share that we have been shortlisted in the Yorkshire and Humber FSB (Federation of Small Businesses) Celebrating Small Business awards.

We have reached the final in the Family Business of the Year category in the awards that recognise the contribution that small businesses make to the national economy.

Kate Balchin, our accounts and export manager and fourth generation of the founding Mellor family, is pleased to be shortlisted: “Last year, my sister Jenni relocated from London to her Yorkshire roots to help steer our marketing strategy and we welcomed the latest baby, Arthur to the Wold Top family, so it’s quite apt that we should reach the final in this category.”

The Yorkshire and The Humber Area finals take place on Friday 1 March at The Principal Hotel in York and the winners at that event will go through to the UK finals, to be held in May 2019 in Central London. We are the only East Yorkshire business in the final and are competing against North Yorkshire businesses Playscheme, Class One Fresh Produce and Fusco’s of Whitby and Leeds based North Star Coffee Roasters.

Wish us luck!
